Key Points

  • To evaluate rehabilitation strategies for Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) and Fisher Syndrome, focusing on recovery and symptom management.
  • Describes rehabilitation policies in acute and recovery phases for GBS.
  • Explains the approach tailored to symptoms in Fisher syndrome.
  • Identifies challenges in establishing high-quality evidence in GBS rehabilitation.
  • Approximately 15% of GBS cases may require respiratory support.
  • Acute phase focuses on preventing disuse syndrome while recovery phase emphasizes muscle load increase.
  • Fisher syndrome generally has a good prognosis, warranting tailored rehabilitation.
