This technical note describes the modernization of the Low-Level Radio Frequency (LLRF) system for the Radio Frequency Quadrupole (RFQ) accelerator at the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute Heavy Ion Facility (KAHIF). The legacy LLRF system, operating at 25.95 MHz, relied on manual analog controls, which limited operational efficiency and made fault diagnosis difficult due to its opaque circuit configuration. To address these issues, we integrated key hardware components—including a signal generator, a data acquisition (DAQ) module, and an oscilloscope—into the EPICS (Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System) environment. The upgraded system enables precise remote control with a frequency resolution of 40 Hz and an amplitude resolution of 0.04 dBm. Furthermore, real-time monitoring and archiving of RF waveforms and power parameters have been realized, significantly enhancing the operational stability and maintenance efficiency of the RFQ accelerator.
