Municipal water systems in Tanzania face challenges related to yield variability over time due to factors such as climate change and infrastructure degradation. Panel data estimation techniques will be employed to analyse the impact of various factors on municipal water yield. Robust standard errors will account for potential heterogeneity across time and space. A significant proportion (35%) of municipal water systems showed improvement in yield over a five-year period, with mixed results across different regions. The panel data analysis revealed consistent improvements in municipal water yields, particularly in areas with effective maintenance programmes. Enhanced investment in infrastructure and regular system assessments are recommended to sustain and improve municipal water yields further. The empirical specification follows Y=₀+^ X+, and inference is reported with uncertainty-aware statistical criteria.
