The Nile Basin is a significant water resource in Africa, but it faces challenges related to water scarcity and potential conflicts among riparian states. The study employs a policy analysis approach, examining existing literature and stakeholder perspectives to assess current conflict mitigation strategies. A key finding is that there is a significant gap in water management infrastructure between upstream and downstream countries, particularly in terms of access to advanced irrigation systems. Current policies have not effectively addressed the underlying issues leading to potential conflicts over Nile Basin resources. To mitigate future conflicts, it is recommended that Morocco invests in regional cooperation initiatives and enhances water management infrastructure across all riparian states.
