Mesoporous Metal-Organic Frameworks In their Research Article (10.1002/sstr.202500684) Dongkyu Roh, Won Seok Chi, and co-workers present highly permeable mixed-matrix membranes based on mesoporous ZIF-8 nanoplates and a PIM-1 polymer. The well-developed mesoporous architecture of ZIF-8 nanoplates provides ultrafast gas diffusion pathways, resulting in significantly enhanced gas permeation. Additionally, the mixed-matrix membranes exhibit improved CO2 plasticization resistance compared to the pure PIM-1 membrane. These features lead to the high gas separation performance and stability.
