Abstract

Uganda's agricultural sector is vulnerable to climate shocks, threatening food security and economic stability. A mixed-methods approach combining qualitative interviews with quantitative data analysis of existing policies. The findings indicate that inadequate insurance coverage for farmers poses a significant risk, with over 60% of surveyed farmers uninsured. Ugandan agriculture must urgently enhance its supply chain resilience to protect against climate-induced shocks. Implement comprehensive insurance schemes and improve coordination among stakeholders to ensure food security.
