Compared culture results with patients' histories of chronic rhinosinusitis.
Found a significant association of CRS history with positive sputum cultures for Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
No association was noted with Staphylococcus aureus or Haemophilus influenzae.
Abstract
We report an association of history of CRS and sputum culture positivity for P. aeruginosa (but not S. aureus or H. influenzae) in people with bronchiectasis.
