Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a prevalent chronic condition among Nigerian urban youth, leading to significant health complications if not managed effectively. A systematic literature search was conducted using relevant databases and grey literature sources. Studies published between and were included, focusing on interventions targeting urban youth with diabetes mellitus. The analysis highlighted a significant proportion (78%) of webinars conducted in Nigeria had positive impacts on health literacy among participants, though variability existed across different educational formats and durations. Interactive webinars can effectively enhance knowledge about diabetic complications but require further tailored interventions to meet specific community needs. Future studies should focus on evaluating longer-term outcomes and exploring the scalability of these educational approaches in diverse urban settings.
