Artificial intelligence (AI) has become a transformative force in contemporary business management, reshaping decision-making, operational efficiency, and strategic planning. Yet, the rapid and largely unregulated expansion of AI technologies has intensified ethical concerns related to algorithmic bias, data privacy, fairness, and transparency. These unresolved challenges underscore a critical gap in existing corporate governance structures, many of which lack the capacity to ensure responsible AI deployment. This study addresses this gap by examining the ethical risks associated with AI adoption and evaluating the effectiveness of current sociotechnical governance frameworks. Using a mixed-method design that integrates a systematic literature review, multi-case analysis, and a structured survey of practitioners, the study identifies persistent deficiencies in corporate AI governance and highlights the need for globally aligned, ethics-driven oversight mechanisms. The findings contribute to emerging scholarship by proposing an integrated governance model that combines corporate policy, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement. Practically, the study offers actionable guidance for organizations seeking to implement trustworthy, transparent, and equitable AI systems. The broader implications affirm that ethical AI governance is not only essential for mitigating risk but is also foundational for sustainable, competitive, and socially responsible business performance.
