Key Points

  • The study aims to evaluate the use of radio-photonic components in microwave receivers for angle of arrival determination.
  • Theoretical analysis of microwave receiver design
  • Examination of radio-photonic components
  • Proposed arrangement of receivers in a linear antenna array
  • Improved accuracy in determining the angle of arrival of signals
  • Reduced error in measurements due to receiver configuration

Abstract

A theoretical study is performed of a microwave receiver constructed using radio-photonic components to determine the angle of arrival of a spherical wave front reflected from a distant object. A way for arranging receivers on a linear antenna array is proposed to reduce the error in determining the angle of arrival of a signal with a spherical wave front.
