Key Points

  • Evaluate the impact of salpingography types on clinical pregnancy outcomes in intrauterine insemination (IUI).
  • Compared 4D-HyCoSy and X-ray HSG for assessing tubal patency.
  • Analyzed clinical pregnancy outcomes after IUI using both methods.
  • No significant difference in pregnancy outcomes between 4D-HyCoSy and X-ray HSG.
  • Recommendation to replace X-ray HSG with 4D-HyCoSy as the primary diagnostic tool for tubal patency.

Abstract

The type of salpingography HSG and 4D-HyCoSy do not affect the clinical pregnancy outcomes in IUI. Therefore, it is recommended that HSG be phased out in favor of adopting 4D-HyCoSy as the first-line diagnostic test for tubal patency in pre-IUI evaluation.
