Community health centres in Ghana are essential for delivering healthcare services to underserved populations. However, their effectiveness and cost-effectiveness vary significantly across different regions. The review employed rigorous search strategies including electronic databases, grey literature sources, and manual searches. Studies were critically appraised based on predefined inclusion criteria focusing on methodological rigor and relevance. Multilevel regression models revealed that community health centres in rural areas of Ghana exhibited higher cost-effectiveness when compared to urban settings, with a ratio of 1: 0. 8 (95% CI: 0. 7, 0. 9). The multilevel regression analysis provided valuable insights into the variability and effectiveness of community health centre systems in Ghana, highlighting potential areas for improvement. Future research should consider implementing cost-effectiveness assessments using similar statistical models to enhance evidence-based policy-making.
