Abstract

This study introduces CyGen, a stationary bicycle system designed to generate electrical energy while promoting physical activity. The system converts mechanical energy from pedaling into electrical output capable of charging electronic devices. Performance tests using a 4500 mAh battery demonstrated a stable charging rate of 34. 6 mAh per minute, with 2700 mAh capacity achieved in 78 min at an average output of 5. 13 V, 2. 339 A, and 12 W. The minimum pedaling speed required to initiate charging was determined to be 210 RPM. A user perception survey involving 45 participants—primarily from the Generation Z demographic— revealed strong user interest and perceived value in multifunctional fitness equipment. Most respondents valued CyGen’s health and eco-friendly benefits, with 66. 7% recognizing the importance of charging features and 60% indicating they would recommend the product. Pricing expectations fell between US100 to US300, highlighting the need for affordability. Currently under patent application, CyGen offers a practical, sustainable solution that merges exercise with renewable energy use, showing strong potential for adoption in health-conscious and tech-driven communities.
