Immunohistochemical detection of PD-L1 in small cell lung cancer and its prognostic values

XMXinyue MaNantong University

Key Points

  • PD-L1 expression significantly predicts poor survival outcomes in small cell lung cancer patients.
  • Immunohistochemistry shows higher sensitivity for detecting PD-L1 compared to RT-qPCR methods.
  • Aggressive clinicopathological features are associated with increased PD-L1 expression in small cell lung cancer.
  • The findings highlight the importance of PD-L1 as a potential biomarker for treatment decisions.

Abstract

PD-L1 expression is associated with aggressive clinicopathological features and independently predicts poor survival in SCLC. IHC appears to be a more sensitive detection method than RT-qPCR for prognostic assessment.
