Urbanization in African cities has led to rapid population growth, particularly in informal settlements where social welfare services are often inadequate. This study employs socio-spatial analysis and policy research methodologies to explore the intersection of urbanization with informal settlement patterns and their impact on social welfare delivery systems. The theoretical framework identifies key challenges and opportunities for enhancing social welfare coverage in urban settings, particularly within the context of Morocco's rapid urbanization process. Policy recommendations include targeted investments in infrastructure development and policy reforms to improve service delivery mechanisms in informal settlements.
