Asymmetries and Time Evolution in the K0-K0 System

PVPatera V.PAPugliese A.

Key Points

  • This research aims to explore CP, T, and CPT violations in the K0-K0 system through measurable asymmetries.
  • Analyzed time evolution of the C-odd \overline{K}^0 K^0 system.
  • Studied CP violating decays in K_l->2π and semileptonic decays.
  • Estimated achievable accuracy on R(ε'/ε) and I(ε'/ε) parameters.
  • Achievable accuracy for R(ε'/ε) is ≈2 x 10^-4 and for I(ε'/ε) is ≈3 x 10^-3.
  • CP, T, and CPT violation parameters can be explored with an accuracy of the order of 10^-3 in K_s semileptonic decays.

Abstract

Starting from the time evolution of the C-odd ⁰ K⁰ system, we study the CP, T and CPT violation by means of the experimentally measurable asymmetries. In particular in Kl->2π CP violating decays an accuracy of ≈2 x 10^-4 and 3 x 10^-3 on R (ε'/ε) and I (ε'/ε) seems to be achievable. CP, T and CPT violation parameters can be explored in Kₛ semileptonic decays with an accuracy of the order of 10^-3.
