The setting of the listed farmhouse will be enhanced by the replacement of recent utilitarian farm buildings with buildings styled on traditional timber framed buildings. The date of the cow shed is not clear cut, given the amount of fabric that post dates 1948, and thus whether it is protected by virtue of being within the curtilage of the listed farmhouse. In fact there is little historic fabric to protect in any event.
