Abstract

The “New Developments in Rail Safety Systems” SCSC Seminar was held at the Eurostars Book Hotel in Munich, Germany, on 4th December 2025 and was hosted by Carmen Carlan and Mike Parsons. Although the event had ‘rail’ in the title, many of the talks addressed the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). These are topics that have applicability in many other sectors. Roger Rivett provides highlights of the day.
