Community health centres (CHCs) are pivotal in Nigeria's healthcare system for providing primary care services to underserved populations. Despite their importance, there is a lack of comprehensive efficiency analysis. A fixed effects model was employed to estimate the efficiency scores of CHCs across Nigeria. The model is represented as: Y₈ₓ = eta₀ + eta₁ X₈ₓ + uᵢ + e₈ₓ, where Y₈ₓ represents the efficiency score for CHC i in year t, and X₈ₓ includes indicators of resource allocation and service delivery. Uncertainty was quantified using robust standard errors. The analysis revealed that resource allocation significantly impacts the efficiency scores of CHCs (p < 0. 05). This study provides a methodological framework for assessing the efficiency of CHCs in Nigeria, identifying resource allocation as an essential factor for improvement. Future research should consider longitudinal data to track changes over time and incorporate qualitative feedback from patients and healthcare workers.
