Key Points

  • The aim is to characterize the coherent flow structures within brain ventricles using computational methods.
  • Utilized FEM software for fluid dynamics simulations
  • Computed FTLE (Finite-Time Lyapunov Exponent) fields to analyze flow structures
  • Provided open-source code for reproducibility
  • Presented geometries and data sets for ventricle flow structures
  • Developed tools are available for further exploration and validation of findings

Abstract

This repository contains the code, geometries and data used in the paper Characterization of coherent flow structures in brain ventricles by Halvor Herlyng (Simula Research Laboratory) and Shawn C. Shadden (University of California, Berkeley). The FEM software `lagrangian-csf-ventricles` is licensed under an MIT License. The FTLE computation code `flowVC` is Copyright 2013 Shadden Research Group, all rights reserved.
