Key Points

  • The study explores the feasibility and safety of single-port robotic gastrectomy.
  • Consecutive case series report on the implementation of single-port robotic gastrectomy in selected patients.
  • Focus on platform-specific ergonomics and workflow during the procedures.
  • Single-port robotic gastrectomy demonstrated feasibility and safety in the selected population.
  • Indications are recommended to focus on distal gastrectomy with D1 + LND until larger studies are available.

Abstract

Early experience demonstrates that spRDG is feasible, safe, and oncologically adequate in appropriately selected patients. Successful implementation requires familiarity with platform-specific ergonomics and workflow. Until supported by larger studies, indications should remain focused on distal gastrectomy requiring D1 + LND.
