Abstract

Hyperlipidemia is a condition characterized by an imbalance in cholesterol levels, often caused by dietary disorders, obesity, genetic diseases, or diabetes. This study evaluated the effectiveness of detox water, a fusion of lemon, cucumber, mint, and ginger, in reducing hyperlipidemia by examining its impact on adipose tissue metabolism and weight management. A 25-year-old female complained of being overweight for the past 6 months. She underwent the screening test of lipid profile, which showed the result as dyslipidemia, and anthropometric measurements with a body mass index (BMI) of 28.6 kg/m 2 , indicating she was overweight. The patient was advised to consume detox water for 1 month and to have regular follow-ups. The outcome measures of lipid profile and BMI showed positive changes, which may indicate that the detox water possesses antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties that help to manage hyperlipidemia and overweight.
