This paper explores the findings of a survey conducted by the author with the members of the Board of the Spanish Official Professional Geologist. The survey sought to gather insights and opinions from members of the board regarding the future of professional geology, considering current global trends in geosciences and the evolving demands of professionalism. The study addresses key questions aimed at understanding the shifting landscape of geological practice and its implications for professionals in the field.
