Abstract

The Ethiopian Highlands are a significant agricultural region facing increasing challenges from climate change, including erratic rainfall and temperature fluctuations. A mixed-methods approach combining survey data with qualitative interviews to evaluate programme impacts, utilising a standardised questionnaire for farmers. There was an observed increase of 15% in maize yield among participating households compared to non-participants, indicating the efficacy of climate change adaptation interventions. Climate change adaptation programmes have shown promising results in enhancing food security in Ethiopian Highlands through improved agricultural practices and crop yields. Continue and expand climate change adaptation initiatives with a focus on training farmers in new techniques such as drought-resistant crop varieties.
