Abstract

Health Monitoring Apps have gained popularity in managing health conditions, but their impact on maternal care quality in informal settlements remains unexplored. A mixed-methods approach was employed involving surveys and qualitative interviews. Data were analysed using thematic analysis for qualitative insights, and inferential statistics to quantify the impact of apps on care quality. Findings indicate that Health Monitoring Apps significantly improve adherence to recommended health practices (p < 0. 05), with a mean improvement rate of 28% in medication adherence among participants. The integration of Health Monitoring Apps can be an effective strategy for enhancing maternal care quality, particularly in resource-limited settings. Healthcare providers and policymakers should consider promoting the use of Health Monitoring Apps to improve maternal health outcomes in informal settlements.
