Abstract

ABSTRACT Nanomaterials have emerged as transformative agents in the field of wound healing and regenerative medicine, offering unique advantages due to their nanoscale properties and enhanced biological interactions. This review explores the multifaceted role of nanomaterials in accelerating wound repair, promoting tissue regeneration, and mitigating complications associated with chronic wounds. Key mechanisms such as enhanced cellular proliferation, controlled drug delivery, and modulation of inflammatory responses are discussed in detail. Furthermore, the potential of nanomaterials to deliver bioactive molecules, growth factors, and stem cells effectively is highlighted, underscoring their therapeutic relevance. Despite their promising applications, challenges related to biocompatibility, scalability, and regulatory approval persist, necessitating further research.
