Key Points

  • To review the chemistry, structure, and biological profiles of functionalized pyrazoles with enhanced therapeutic potential.
  • Summarized vital classes of pyrazoles like amino- and formyl-pyrazoles.
  • Highlighted synthetic strategies including enaminones, 1,3-diketones, and diazoesters.
  • Discussed characterization approaches validating structural features.
  • Identified significant biological activities of pyrazole derivatives, including anti-inflammatory, anticancer, antimicrobial, antifungal, and antidiabetic properties.
  • Proposed recent developments in synthesis and biological significance of pyrazole derivatives.

Abstract

Pyrazoles are substantial nitrogen-containing heterocycles that are well acknowledged for their extensive array of biological activities and structural adaptability. The advancement of functionalized pyrazoles with enhanced therapeutic potential has been the emphasis of hot research. In addition to summarizing vital classes like amino- and formyl-pyrazoles, this review highlights vital synthetic strategies, such as those exploiting enaminones, 1,3-diketones, and diazoesters. A brief debate is given of characterization approaches and how they authenticate structural topographies. Furthermore, swotted are the biological activities of pyrazole derivatives, such as their anti-inflammatory, anticancer, antimicrobial, antifungal, and antidiabetic properties. This work proposes a summary of recent developments in the synthesis and biological status of pyrazole derivatives.
