Abstract

This study examines key business challenges faced by African enterprises operating in Tunisia. A mixed-methods approach was employed, integrating qualitative interviews with quantitative data from Tunisian businesses across various sectors. Data triangulation involved cross-referencing primary survey responses with secondary sources for validation. The analysis revealed that over 70% of respondents faced significant financial constraints and regulatory hurdles, particularly in the form of bureaucratic red tape affecting market entry and operations. The findings underscore recurring themes of inadequate financial resources and overly stringent regulations as critical barriers to business success in Tunisia's African context. Policy recommendations include streamlining administrative procedures and enhancing access to finance for small businesses, alongside promoting a more conducive regulatory environment.
