Key Points

  • This research explores how B4GALT1 deficiency affects steatohepatitis progression.
  • Investigated the role of B4GALT1 deficiency in steatohepatitis
  • Analyzed the PPARγ/ACSL4 axis
  • Examined lipid peroxidation in hepatocytes
  • B4GALT1 deficiency attenuates steatohepatitis
  • Regulates the PPARγ/ACSL4 axis
  • Targets lipid peroxidation in hepatocytes

Abstract

Our findings suggest that B4GALT1 plays a crucial role in MASLD progression by targeting lipid peroxidation in hepatocytes via the PPARγ/ACSL4 axis, thus highlighting a potential therapeutic target for MASLD.
