This article analyzes the key challenges of ensuring multimedia security and user privacy in social networks. The study examines major risks, including personal data leakage, cyberattacks, phishing, the spread of fake information, and unauthorized access to user accounts. Particular attention is given to the use of strong passwords, the implementation of two-factor authentication, the proper management of privacy settings, and the improvement of users’ digital literacy. The article also provides practical recommendations for creating a safer and more reliable digital environment on social networking platforms
