Abstract

Dear Members, Greeting from the Head Office! It is a pleasure to connect with all of you through this journal issue and to share significant developments and activities of the association from recent months. Our collective efforts persist in reinforcing the role of public health dentistry in enhancing oral health outcomes nationwide. Recently, we had the honor of representing the Indian Association of Public Health Dentistry at the National Conclave of State Nodal Officers on Strengthening System-Driven Approaches to Oral Health Promotion for School Children and Older Adults. This event, organized under the National Oral Health Programme at PGIMER, Chandigarh, convened experts, program managers, and policymakers to discuss strategies for integrating oral health within broader health systems, enhancing preventive care for school children and the elderly, and improving service delivery through health and wellness centers. Such platforms are crucial in ensuring that the insights and expertise of public health dentists significantly contribute to national oral health initiatives. A pivotal milestone for our association has been the creation of the IAPHD Chandigarh Chapter. This regional chapter’s formation marks a significant step in expanding the association’s academic and professional network, fostering regional collaboration in research, education, and community outreach. I extend my congratulations and best wishes to the newly appointed office bearers and members spearheading this initiative. Additionally, the association successfully conducted two editions of the “Authors’ Viewpoint” program. These sessions offered an excellent academic platform for researchers and authors to share insights from their work and engage in meaningful scholarly discussions with colleagues and postgraduate students. As we continue to promote academic excellence and professional engagement, I warmly invite all members and postgraduate students to participate in the upcoming PG Convention in Mumbai on April 25 and 26, 2026. The convention promises to be an enriching environment for learning, interaction, and the exchange of ideas among the future leaders of our field. I sincerely thank all members for their ongoing support and active participation in the association’s activities. Together, let us continue to work toward strengthening public health dentistry and improving oral health for communities across the nation.
