Highlights1. Cenobamate reduced seizures by >50% in 60% of children with drug-resistant epilepsy; 12% became seizure-free.2. Treatment was well tolerated; most side effects were mild, like fatigue or nausea.3. Retention rates were high; 91% at 6 months and 82% at 12 months of treatment.4. Cenobamate was as effective in preschool children from age 3 years and 15 kg body weight, as in older children. 5. Cenobamate was effective in focal as well as non-focal epilepsy types.
