Abstract

A person can criminally satisfy his/her economic interest not only by committing an offense stipulated under the section of economic crime, but also by committing an offense stipulated under other sections of the Criminal Code, the cause and motive of which are clearly economic interest. The development of society has put on the agenda the elaboration and implementation of a more comprehensive form of achieving economic interest. Alongside the so-called classic economic crimes, this has led to emergence of the so-called "other economic crimes" formed and subsequently developed in line with the requirements of the time. They often involve blanket dispositions and rely on the development of other fields. Despite the difference in the form of economic crime, the essence is the same - to protect the economic interest from criminal infringements. To achieve this, a good form, a good way is the one that will be effective in combating this crime in a specific time and space. The forms of achieving economic interest by criminals are changing, therefore the legislation should be amended and improved in order to have a legal basis to protect economic interests. We can improve and change the way to achieve the goal - protection of the economic interest and reduction of economic crimes.
