This research aims to evaluate the consistency between two methods of determining directional lead orientation in deep brain stimulation (DBS).
Used interobserver agreement metrics to assess the ISM.
Evaluated Brainlab Elements™ software for lead orientation estimation.
Compared the results of both methods using limits of agreement analysis.
Interobserver agreement for the ISM was excellent with an ICC of 0.983.
Brainlab Elements™ showed a good correlation with the ISM, with an ICC of 0.864.
The limits of agreement for Brainlab Elements™ estimates were approximately ±15°.
Abstract
Interobserver agreement using the ISM was excellent ICC(2,1) = 0.983. Brainlab Elements™ estimations ICC(3,1) = 0.864; limits of agreement ≈ ±15° correlated well with the ISM.
