Abstract

The paper presents a study of the design characteristics of supersonic passenger aircraft within the range of cruise Mach numbers from 1.5 to 3.5 with the use of a software complex based on algorithmization of calculations conducted during the preliminary design stage. The analysis of the calculated design characteristics of an aircraft with a capacity of 48 passengers is provided. Dimensional and weight characteristics of the aircraft are analyzed for varying flight ranges as well as the influence of cruise flight characteristics (Mach number and range) on the aircraft fuel efficiency criterion.
