Efficacy of Constitutional Homoeopathic Approach in Allergic Rhinitis

Allergic rhinitis is an immunoglobulin E (IgE)-mediated inflammatory disorder of the nasal mucosa, characterized by sneezing, watery discharge, nasal irritation, and obstructive symptoms. Homoeopathic interventions are often employed for sustained symptomatic relief and immunological balance. This case report is to evaluate the effectiveness of individualized homoeopathic approach in patient suffering with allergic rhinitis, assessed using clinical symptoms and laboratory markers, including eosinophil percentage, absolute eosinophil count, and IgE levels. This was the known case of a 70-year-old male who came with the following presenting complaints: sneezing after exposure to dust and smoke, generalized weakness, and anxiousness about the disease. The case was analyzed and treated with constitutional homoeopathic medicine Arsenicum album 200. Regular follow-up was taken, and the patient improved both symptomatically and clinically, as assessed by the laboratory parameters.
