Abstract

The map can never be the territory. Current physical models describe phenomena with mathematical precision but lack a unified ontological foundation. Quantum mechanics, general relativity, and condensed matter physics operate within distinct frameworks with no consensus on the underlying nature of reality. This paper proposes the Binary Resonance Model (BRM), an ontological framework positing that fundamental reality consists of discrete binary energy units—"binary particles"—existing in a state of pure potential. It proposes that stable matter (atoms) emerges from rare, resonant collisions of these binary particles, creating localized "fields of indecision" that correspond to quantum probability fields. These atomic structures function as architectures of amplification, interacting with the ambient binary flux to produce observable phenomena. Within this framework, I demonstrate that: · Sound represents low-energy resonance with simple atomic architectures · Mass emerges as a measure of architectural complexity and resistance to binary flux · Gravity arises as the coherent background resonance of the cosmic-scale binary particle network · Wave-particle duality is explained as an ontic transition from indecision (wave) to decision (particle) upon coupling · Quantum entanglement is explained as a shared, non-separable field of indecision that collapses as a single entity · The Higgs mechanism, wavefunction collapse, and mass-energy equivalence find natural explanations as emergent properties of binary particle amplification.
