Abstract

The article investigates the issue of improving the educational and training process of training athletes with visual impairments by implementing a pedagogical approach that requires the use of special equipment and simulators in para-arm wrestling. An analysis and systematization of pedagogical approaches to the development of adaptive sports and para-arm wrestling in Ukraine and the world was carried out, which made it possible to determine the main directions of improving the educational and training process of training athletes - arm wrestlers with visual impairments. The results obtained became the basis for the developed practical recommendations on the use of special equipment and simulators in the training of athletes with visual impairments in para-arm wrestling. It is shown that the use of specialized arm wrestling tables with tactile landmarks, block and traction simulators, expanders, devices for developing grip strength, as well as stabilization platforms contributes to the formation of the correct technique of performing movements, the development of special strength and the improvement of coordination abilities of athletes. The SWOT analysis of the proposed pedagogical approach to organizing the educational and training process for athletes with visual impairments in para-arm wrestling allowed us to identify its main strengths and weaknesses, as well as assess the prospects and possible risks of using specialized equipment and simulators.
