Consideration is given to the flow of an idealized elastico-viscous liquid due to a sphere immersed in it rotating about a vertical diameter. It is shown that the streamline projections on any plane containing the axis of rotation are strongly dependent on the liquid parameters.
Thomas et al. (1964) studied this question.
