This study examines the impact of digital transformation on the efficiency of academic performance among faculty members and student satisfaction at Bisha University, in alignment with the National Transformation Program. The research employs a descriptive-analytical approach, utilizing a questionnaire distributed to a randomly selected sample of faculty members and students. The results indicate that digital transformation has had a significantly positive effect on the efficiency of faculty members’ academic performance, with an average impact score of 4.53. This transformation has enhanced various aspects of faculty performance, including research productivity, administrative efficiency, technological proficiency and teaching effectiveness. Research performance was the most affected, with digital tools most strongly enhancing access to resources, collaboration and knowledge dissemination. Additionally, digital transformation improved administrative efficiency, communication and teaching effectiveness. Moreover, the findings reveal that student satisfaction with digital transformation was also high, with an average score of 4.44. Students particularly appreciated improvements in e-learning platforms, access to digital resources and communication with faculty members. However, some challenges were identified, such as the need for enhanced digital infrastructure and faculty training programs to maximize the benefits of digital transformation. The study concludes that digital transformation plays a crucial role in elevating both faculty performance and student satisfaction is a crucial driver of faculty efficiency and student satisfaction. It recommends ongoing investment in digital resources, training programs for faculty members and continuous evaluation of digital initiatives to ensure sustainable academic development in line with national transformation goals.
