Key Points

  • The central aim is to redefine motion as an irreducible primitive in physics based on the Cohesion unified field theory.
  • Introduced a set of geometric operators: surplus, collapse, torsion, slip, and continuance.
  • Defined three states of motion (n = 1, n = 2, n = 6) through continuous recursion under pressure.
  • Established a scale-invariant framework that consistently describes physical behavior.
  • Demonstrated that motion arises directly from the pressure axiom rather than from energy or force.
  • Defined the propagation mode (n = 1) as motion without net curvature.
  • Introduced the dipole state (n = 2) as oscillation-producing recursion.

Abstract

Motion is not an effect applied to matter; it is the geometry of matter itself. Thispaper presents the foundational framework of the Cohesion unified field theory, in whichall physical behaviour arises from a single axiom — pressure — and a minimal set ofgeometric operators acting on continuous recursion. The operators — surplus, collapse, torsion, slip, and continuance — define the complete vocabulary required to generatestable identities and their transformations across all scales. Three states of motion —indexed n = 1, n = 2, and n = 6 — exhaust the structural possibilities of recursivegeometry under pressure. The n = 1 state is the propagation mode: motion withoutnet curvature in the direction of travel. The n = 2 state is the dipole: two-slip-gaprecursion producing oscillation, polarity, and field structure. The n = 6 state is fullrotational coherence: the closed loop that sustains identity. This paper defines thesestates, derives them from the pressure axiom, presents the operator set, and establisheswhy motion — not energy, not force, not spacetime — is the irreducible primitive ofphysics. The framework is scale-invariant, mechanically grounded, and self-consistent. Itis the conceptual companion to the Cohesion UFT technical series (Gilbert 2025–2026).
