Abstract

Recent proposals in low-energy "warp drive" physics, notably the Sarfatti–Wanser metamaterial metric-engineering ansatz 17,18,21, replace the constant gravitational coupling κ₀ ≡ 8πG/c⁴ in Einstein’s field equation with a spatially varying scalar field κ(x) controlled by the electromagnetic susceptibility χ(ω) of an engineered medium. Such proposals have also been linked to the framework of "post-quantum mechanics" (PQM) and to claims of signal nonlocality through entanglement 17,20. We show that the prescribed-κ(x) approach is structurally inconsistent with the contracted Bianchi identity ∇μGμν ≡ 0, in agreement with the recent analysis of Rodal 13; that the dynamical-κ alternative reduces to a scalar–tensor theory in tension with experimental constraints on the Strong Equivalence Principle 27; and that the associated signal-nonlocality program is tightly constrained by the Wootters–Zurek and Dieks no-cloning theorems 6,26, by Gisin’s 1989 nonlinear-quantum no-go theorem 9, and by the experimental falsification of the FLASH equivalence class by De Angelis et al. 5. As a constructive alternative, we present an analytical development of the dual-charge gravitational framework formulated by V. Černohajev (1958–2019) and now publicly archived 4. The framework operates on the source side of Einstein’s equation, preserves the Bianchi identity by construction, and yields a stability ratio rmax ≡ 2 (mp / e) √( G / ke ) ≈ 1.80 × 10 ,⁻¹⁸ derivable from CODATA constants alone, which integrates the fine structure constant α through the relation rmax² · α = 4·αg(p), where αg(p) ≡ G mp² / ( c) is the proton gravitational fine structure ℏ constant. We give a minimal Lagrangian formulation of the dual-charge framework, derive its linearised gravitoelectromagnetic limit, and exhibit the resulting Maxwell-like dual-charge structure, which connects the framework to existing peer-reviewed results on gravitomagnetic monopoles 2,22. We discuss areas of convergence with the Sarfatti program (the action–reaction principle and the 1975 Einstein–Rosen / EPR identification anticipated in 24) and outline experimental signatures of the dual-charge framework consistent with existing tests of gravitomagnetism and the equivalence principle.
