Abstract

Background: The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between dental students’ learning styles (VARK) and their perceptions of the educational environment (DREEM), and to evaluate the effects of this relationship on academic self-perception and learning climate. In addition, the study aimed to examine the influence of demographic variables such as age, academic year, and faculty type on students’ perceptions of the educational environment.Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted with 518 undergraduate dental students from different universities in Türkiye. Data were collected using a structured online questionnaire including sociodemographic characteristics, the VARK Learning Style Inventory, and selected subscales of the Dundee Ready Education Environment Measure (DREEM).
