Key Points

  • The research aims to enhance diagnostic accuracy in detecting vesicoureteral reflux in children through improved imaging techniques.
  • Utilized radiographic contrast studies, ultrasound, radionuclide imaging, and magnetic resonance imaging.
  • Proposed a multimodal diagnostic approach for early disease detection.
  • Demonstrated that low-dose protocols reduce radiation exposure significantly.
  • Showed that contrast-free imaging maintains diagnostic precision.

Abstract

This article analyzes the theoretical foundations for improving radiological diagnostic approaches to vesicoureteral reflux in children. The aim is to enhance diagnostic accuracy through integration of conventional and innovative imaging techniques. The study employed radiographic contrast studies, ultrasound, radionuclide imaging, and magnetic resonance imaging. The findings demonstrate that low-dose protocols and contrast-free imaging significantly reduce radiation exposure while maintaining diagnostic precision. A multimodal diagnostic approach is proposed for early detection of the disease.
