  • Demonstrated improved image compression leading to reduced storage needs.

Abstract

In the recent technology as per Lossy Compression reproduction of the image transmitted is greatly unrealizable, secure transmission from hackers requires encryption and fastening transmission and reducing storage space which needs image compression. This work presents scalable coding on encrypted images (SCOE) using Absolute Moment Block Truncation Code (AMBTC) technique to attain transmitted image. The raw gray image is compresed using AMBTC and further encrypted using a pseudo-random number (PRD). The PRD is supplied to the receiver. The raw gray image is recreated by decrypting using PRD and AMBTC technique. This work exhibits better image encryption for secure transmission and better image compression which leads to reduced storage requirement than BTC
