Abstract

This article examines the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in developing language competencies within the framework of Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4), which aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education. The study explores how AI-based technologies—such as intelligent tutoring systems, natural language processing, speech recognition, and adaptive learning platforms—can effectively support the development of key language skills, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The research highlights the advantages of AI in providing personalized learning experiences, real-time feedback, and interactive environments that enhance learner engagement and motivation. It also analyzes the contribution of AI tools to improving communicative competence, vocabulary acquisition, and grammatical accuracy. In addition, the study considers the role of AI in supporting teachers through automated assessment, progress monitoring, and data-driven instructional design. At the same time, the article addresses challenges associated with the implementation of AI in language education, including issues of digital access, data privacy, and the need for teacher training
