Abstract

Amidst global aging trends, long-term care facilities (LTCFs) must prioritize emotional health alongside clinical metrics. This article introduces the Harmony Protocol™, a multidisciplinary intervention piloted in a 40-bed LTCF. Built on three pillars—adaptation, family integration, and end-of-life management—the protocol integrates behavioral science and environmental design. Pilot data reveal 30–50% reductions in social isolation and 20–35% lower caregiver turnover, demonstrating scalability and economic viability. Findings advocate a paradigm shift toward human-centered care models.
