Abstract

The conventional way to teach any subject to the students is to give them a lecture, which is generally prepared by reading the books (or net sources). The book is indeed a bridge between a student and a teacher. This teaching–learning process can be made more interactive by using relatable visuals or modules. Linking the complex concepts to real-life experiences made them easier to grasp and understand. This way, not only can the assimilation power of students be increased effectively but also a passion for science can be reignited in the younger generation. Hence, we have proposed a simple, relatable, and cost-effective pedagogical tool, kitchen in our home, to introduce some concepts and apparatus that are used in chemistry laboratories.
