Key Points

  • The aim is to evaluate the synthesis and antimitotic effects of new 2-phenyl-6-pyridinyl-2H-pyrazolo[4,3-c]pyridines.
  • Synthesis of a series of new compounds based on the described chemical structure.
  • Assessment of antimitotic activity through the study of cell morphology and mitotic effects.
  • Compound 7f disrupts the microtubule cytoskeleton, leading to altered cell morphology.
  • It causes mitotic defects and results in cell death.

Abstract

A series of new 2-phenyl-6-pyridinyl-2 H -pyrazolo4,3- c pyridines was prepared. The most active compound 7f disrupts the microtubule cytoskeleton, alters cell morphology, causes mitotic defects, and ultimately leads to cell death.
