Abstract

We introduce the notion of covered α-ideals of semigroups and study some of their properties. We also provide a sufficient condition for a semigroup to contain a covered α-ideal. Furthermore, we investigate conditions under which every covered α-ideal of a proper α-ideal of a semigroup is also a covered α-ideal of the semigroup.
